Dr. Sam Ogbemudia for inauguration of Isoko Political Congress

FORMER Governor of Old Bendel State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) board of trustees, Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, will on Saturday, August 16, 2014 chair the formal inauguration ceremony of a non-partisan political pressure group, Isoko Political Congress (IPC).

A statement by the chairman and publicity secretary of IPC, Chief A.P.J. Okpakpor and Alex Ovie, respectively states that the grand event slated for 11:00 a.m. will hold at Civic Centre, Oleh, Headquarters of Isoko South Local Council, Delta State.

According to the statement, the Archbishop of Bethesda Gospel Mission Incorporated, Most Rev Dr. C.A.O. Apena (JP++), will be the spiritual father of the day while Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will be the special guest of honour. The statement further enjoins leaders of IPC in all the clans in Isokoland and beyond to mobilize members en-masse to attend the ceremony.

The statement added: “IPC which is a non-party political organization committed to fostering Isoko political unity, economic and infrastructural development, has over 50,000 members spread across Isoko South, North, Ndokwa East and Bayelsa State of Nigeria.”
