David Wej a premium lifestyle brand founded by Adedayo David Eweje, is taking luxury menswear to a new level with the launch of David Wej Signature, a luxury extension designed to redefine modern tailoring through premium fabrics, refined craftsmanship and personalised style.
The new collection marks a significant milestone for the award-winning designer, whose brand has grown into an internationally recognised name in men’s fashion, attracting celebrities, business executives and other high-profile personalities.
Since establishing David Wej in 2008, Eweje has built a reputation for blending African tailoring traditions with the precision and sophistication associated with renowned fashion destinations such as Savile Row in London and Biella in Italy.
Known for its distinctive bespoke jacquard suits, classic shirts and accessories, the brand has consistently emphasised quality craftsmanship, with its garments cut, shaped and finished locally in Lagos.

What began as a startup operating from a car trunk on Oyin Jolayemi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, has evolved into a premium menswear label with seven stores globally, including a flagship outlet in London, United Kingdom, alongside a growing e-commerce presence.
With nearly two decades in the industry, the brand has also grown alongside its clientele, many of whom have progressed from executive positions to senior leadership roles. This evolution, according to the designer, has informed the development of David Wej Signature, which seeks to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of established professionals and luxury fashion consumers.
Rather than relying exclusively on bespoke techniques across most of its offerings, the new line incorporates advanced tailoring methods, including full-canvas and half-canvas construction, to deliver enhanced structure, fit and durability.
The collection was unveiled on Saturday, October 10, at the brand’s flagship store in Lekki, Lagos, during an event attended by prominent figures from Nigeria’s business, political and lifestyle circles.
The launch also provided guests with an exclusive preview of the David Wej Signature collection, which extends beyond tailored clothing to include premium accessories such as pure silk and cashmere ties and cravats, as well as handmade shoes.
The collection features fabrics sourced from some of the world’s respected mills and textile producers, combining Italian wool, English cotton and cashmere. Among the suppliers are Loro Piana, Brown Aaron, Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Thomas Mason, Kerry Knoll and Drago.
According to 49-year-old Eweje, the selection reflects the brand’s commitment to meeting international luxury standards while retaining the creativity, individuality and flexibility that define its approach to personalised fashion.
The designer’s vision for the new line goes beyond the use of premium materials or the pursuit of a perfect fit. Instead, David Wej Signature places emphasis on creating garments that reflect the wearer’s personality, preferences and lifestyle.
Through the collection, Eweje is positioning the brand to serve a discerning clientele seeking a balance of craftsmanship, contemporary elegance and personal expression.
The launch signals a new phase in the David Wej journey, as the Nigerian fashion entrepreneur builds on the brand’s established reputation while strengthening its presence in the international luxury menswear market.
