Tems wins first Grammy, Burna Boy lose
Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has won her first Grammy Award.
She won the award at the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Her contribution to the hit ‘Wait For U’ by Future featuring Drake earned her the award.
In a viral social media video, Tems, who dressed in a lovely gown, was seen conversing with Roc Nation founder Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé.
The pre-Grammy brunch was held at a private residence in Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, award-winning singer, Damini Ogbulu, known better as Burna Boy lost two nominations.
He lost the ‘Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories.
