Nigerian content creator, Olajide Abubakar Rasak, popularly known as Jidex, says the industry is big enough for Nigerian content creators to continually put Nigeria on the international map with their local contents.

Jidex made this known while engaging with the TheDaily2KDiary team at the African Creators Summit, where discussions centered on influence, accountability and legitimate wealth creation in the digital age.

Speaking on public expectations placed on creators, Jidex distanced himself from imitation narratives, stating that personal responsibility drives his actions comparison.

“I have to say it again and again, I do not have anybody mentoeing me and I don’t copy anybody. Truly, I admire people who help others but what I do is simply using my resources positively.” Jidex said. “Nothing should actually limit any african creator from achieving success not even gadgets or money because most times, consistency wins” Jidex remarked.

TheDaily2KDiary contextualized the interaction within its broader mission of highlighting individuals who earn through legitimate means and influence others through example rather than spectacle.

The African creators summit featured creators and entrepreneurs including Abiri Tobi Festus (Folagade Banks), Ify’s Kitchen, Nons Miraj, Nancy Umeh, Lolo Mbakara, Broda Shaggi, Gilmooree, TeeMirror, Jenni Frank, Cute Abiola, One Khan, King–Ana, and JIDEX Klothing, among others.

Meta also contributed to the event’s discourse. Oluwasola Obagbemi noted that,
“Seeing creators engage, share their stories, and create content live at the booth highlights how powerful these spaces are in strengthening Africa’s creator community.”

The African Creators Summit concluded with renewed attention on the balance between visibility, responsibility, and sustainability as Africa’s creator ecosystem continues to evolve.
