The management of Fendini Homes Ltd has expressed deep concern over the arrest of its Chairman and Managing Director/CEO, Prince Adelaja Adeoye, over alleged document falsification, forgery, fraud and intimidation over the ownership of Rayfield Garden City, Alao Akala Housing Estate, Ibadan Oyo State.

Dotun Akinfenwa, Convener of Citizens Rights Group, emphasised in a statement issued on its behalf that Prince Adeoye was arrested over an alleged fraud, falsification of official documents in connivance with some Government officials of Oyo state Public Private Partnership agency (OYSIPA) to forge documents belonging to the Rightful Project proponent, Messrs. Privus Crest Limited as originally approved by the state government through the Oyo state Public Private Partnership agency (OYSIPA).

It was added in the statement that the case of alleged forgery was formally brought to the attention of the Inspector General of Police via a petition dated 9th of May, 2025.

“Following due process, approval was granted for the arrest of Prince Adelaja Adeoye for interrogation and further investigation.

“We gathered further that the shocking and damning evidences provided by the original project owner necessitated the prompt approval of the petition and directive given for investigation and onward prosecution.

“The implications of document falsification and forgery are grave.

“Such actions constitute a serious criminality, breach of trust and legality, undermining the integrity of corporate partnerships and public institutions” the statement read.

Akinfenwa added that “our source who witnessed the arrest on the 14th of June, 2025, said that Adelaja Adeoye initially resisted arrest, struggling with the officers of the Nigerian police.

“He asked that the premises be guarded by his security and called for Amotekun and his acquaintances in the state police division even when presented with an arrest warrant.

“It took the professionalism and calmness of the police officers to calm the situation.”

While condemning all forms of deception, fraud, and forgery, Akinfenwa urge the relevant authorities to pursue appropriate legal measures to ensure accountability.

“It is imperative that justice is served and that those affected receive the necessary support and protection.

“While we call on the general public to be wary of their investment choices and the integrity of people they trust with their investments, we also call on all individuals and institutions, including the Nigeria Police Force, to uphold the values of honesty, transparency, and mutual respect in all personal and professional engagements.

“Our organisation remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting integrity and defending the rights of individuals under all circumstances,” he said.
