The Lagos State Government has sealed DONALD Restaurant, owned by celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, over gross environmental infractions.

The restaurant, located in the upscale Lekki area, was shut down after two staff members were caught illegally dumping waste by the roadside. The incident occurred along Durosimi-Etti Street in Lekki Phase 1, and was reported in the early hours of Saturday, May 18, 2025, by the Chairman of the Lekki Estate Residents Association.

Following the report, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) swiftly deployed its Monitoring and Compliance team to the location. The team apprehended the culprits and sealed off the restaurant for violating the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017.

Confirming the development via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, LAWMA Managing Director/CEO, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, stated that the culprits will be prosecuted accordingly.

“This action underscores our zero-tolerance stance on environmental violations. No one is above the law,” Gbadegesin noted.

The shutdown sends a clear message as the state intensifies its crackdown on environmental offenders to keep Lagos clean and orderly.
