Just In: Benue youth leader, Raymond Nago Asema abducted by unknown uniformed men in Makurdi

Youth leader, Ambassador Raymond Nago Asema has reportedly been abducted from his residence on Monday afternoon by unidentified men dressed in uniform, believed to be operatives of the Nigeria Police.

According to a statement from Emmanuel Slimchild Shishim, Chief of Staff to Asema, the youth leader was followed and forcefully taken shortly after returning home at around 2:30 pm.

The abductors did not disclose their identities or the destination where he was being taken.

No official confirmation or denial has been issued by the Nigeria Police Force or any other security agency regarding the incident.

The abduction has raised concern among the youth in Benue State, who regard Hon. Asema as a prominent advocate for their interests.

Authorities and security agencies are yet to provide further information.
