Good atmosphere, great food with a variety of menu options, and listening to customers’ needs and recommendations are some of the core factors that have helped House 30 Bar\Lounge reach the pinnacle of celebrating their 2 year anniversary. In January 2018, partners Akinwale Oluwaleimu and Seun Oshopey opened the doors to patrons for one of Ikeja the Lagos mainland venue of House 30, located in the upscale Akora Villas on Adeniyi Jones Ikeja.

“Others have not been as fortunate in this market, but we are extremely humbled to not only still be here but to be adding new attractions to start our 3rd year of growth,” said Oluwaleimu.

A newly remodeled VVIP lounge area for private parties was opened days before the anniversary. House 30 Bar has an upscale private lounge and hosts new events for Thursday (Old Skool Night) and Friday Comedy Nights. These are a few of the new additions House 30 lounge leadership and staffs are excited about sharing with the Ikeja communities moving forward.

“We listened to customer feedback on what is missing from the area, what we needed to do to improve their experience once inside the door, and we took a little time last year to remodel the layout of the venue,” said Oluwaleimu. “We are always looking for ways to improve the House 30 lounge experience.”

Notable among others at the event was The Publisher of Ovation Magazine and former presidential aspirant, Bashorun Dele Momodu, PR Guru Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, Global Excellence Magazine Publisher Mayor Akinpelu, popular comedian Okey Bakassi, Former commissioner for tourism Lagos state, Hon. Steve Ayorinde, AFRIMA President Mr. Mike Dada, House of representative member Honorable Fatimah Mohammed among several others.

Others include the king of Ikeja nightlife and the owner of Rumor Night Club Dotun Omotoye popularly known as Dotun Rumors, Wale Fanimi of Billionaires Bite Club, Wole Olokun of Cielos, Socialite Olanrewaju Lamex of R&A Suits, and other notable Ikeja mainland big boys and babes.

The partner’s proudest contribution to the Ikeja nightlife scene has been fostering an environment that is not only inviting and enjoyable for patrons but also great for staff. The House 30 Lounge leadership’s commitment to establishing a great working environment has kept employment turnover low and morale high for staff that helps provide the best customer service experience.

Costal highway: Landmark Beach refunds customers after demolition

The management of Landmark Resort Beach says it has initiated the refund process for customers impacted by the recent demolition of portions of its properties by the Federal Government.

According to a statement posted on its X account on Friday by Landmark Africa, the parent company of Landmark Resort Beach, refunds are being facilitated through the Landmark Citizen App.

While acknowledging the patience of their customers, the management advised that completion of the refund process may be delayed due to the high number of requests.

“Dear Landmark Citizens, we would like to assure you all that we have started issuing refunds to those who requested a refund of their money on the Landmark Citizen App.

“Please be patient with us, due to the volume of requests, this process will take some time. Be rest assured that all refund requests will be processed,” the statement read.

A portion of Landmark Beach on Victoria Island, Lagos, was demolished on Monday to accommodate the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.

Minister of Works, David Umahi has defended the demolition, citing that the Landmark centre encroached upon the Federal Government’s right-of-way.

The Breeze Beach Club, Mami Chula and other beach businesses were also demolished in the process.

Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, popularly known as A.A Rano, transformed from a humble boy from Kano Village into a billionaire magnate, overseeing a conglomerate that includes 120 filling stations across Nigeria.

Born into an average family in Lausu, Kano State, Rano started small, with an ice block and groundnut oil business, including other local items.

Rano has gone into building a multi-billion naira enterprise spanning various sectors of Nigeria’s economy.

Today, Rano owns AA Rano oil & Gas industry in Nigeria with 56 ML Tank farm in Lagos, with 120 retail outlet/ fillng stations across Nigeria and over 600 trucks & LPG terminals as well as acquired vessel (M.T LAUSAU).

His ventures include RanoGaz, a state-of-the-art Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal, a rice milling company, Rano Lubricant, Rano Air, Lausu Marine and Logistics, AA Rano Terminal, and AA Rano Road Haulage.

The esteemed Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, despite his busy schedule alongside honorable colleagues Hon. Nureni Akinsanya representing Mushin Constituency I, and Hon. Lukmon Olumoh representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency I, and Mr. Olalekan Onafeko, the Clerk of the House warmly welcomed the winner of the 2024 Young Orators competition, Miss Folakemi Adebayo, a 200l Law student of the Univeristy of Ibadan to his office at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Complex Alausa – Ikeja..

 

This event, marked by the presence of representatives from the Peat Philips Foundation and Lagos Television, was a poignant acknowledgment of burgeoning talent within our community. Guided by the amiable and indefatigable Mrs. Rukayat Olabode, Head, Tour & Guide Unit. The delegation was hosted with utmost hospitality and conducted through the meeting seamlessly.

 

The invitation extended by the Speaker’s office served as a testament to the significance of the Young Orators initiative, a collaborative effort between the Peat Philips Foundation and Lagos Television, aimed at nurturing and showcasing the oratory skills of young individuals, thereby fostering leadership and public speaking abilities.

Amidst an atmosphere brimming with anticipation and appreciation, the Honorable Speaker greeted the delegation with enthusiasm, acknowledging the commendable efforts of the Peat Philips Foundation in shaping the future leaders of society. The winner, undoubtedly filled with pride and accomplishment, stood alongside representatives from the foundation, cherishing the auspicious occasion.
