Finally, light seems to be appearing at the end of one time big money spender Lekan Olofinjano’s tunnel as it has be signed that his incarceration will be over next year
Lekan Olofinjano who is popularly known as Lekan Lokoso ruled the social firmament in the 80s through the early 90s before he fell foul of the US Drug Enforcement Agency’s law and was made a permanent tenant of the jailer.
His crime then we gathered was his romance with the devil’s dust. He made so much money from the illicit trade in drugs that he lived a life of flamboyance; he was also said to be very generous, hence, many musicians sang his praise to high heavens.
Lekan’s case was a celebrated one and at the end of the trial, the good looking chap was slammed with 27 years in jail.
Now after almost completing his term inside the American jail, Lekan will be breathing fresh air next year. He has been given parole and the American system is ready to absorb him into their society again we reliably gathered.
If this sounded very good a news to him, the issue of his then loving wife Dayo who bore him children and whom they spent the drug money together is like pin in his foot. To Lokoso, he had thought when they signed the marital vow, it will remain permanently in ’till death do us part’ but Dayo who graduated from University of Lagos is not the one to live with that cliche. After waiting for what seems like eternity, she quickly rearrange her life and hurriedly jumped into the boat of one time socialite who has now become a king, Oba Fatai Akamo of Itori land in Ogun State
Today, Dayo goes by the name Olori Dayo Akamo because of the loud wedding ceremony she had with the over bleached monarch and she is enjoying attention from all sides.
What we don’t know is what becomes of the union if Lekan finally becomes a free man again. That you are bound to know from us in subsequent edition.
