Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Boss, Rasak Ajala, To Give Out 250 GCE Forms, Scholarship To Students.

The Executive Secretary of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Honourable Rasak Olusola Ajala has kick start a ‘Special Education’ programme for the youths and students of the council community.

The educational package which will see the council boss give out 250 GCE forms to students who emerges victorious at the end of the mock examination which is also been organized by Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA is one of the many innovative programs of the Executive Secretary, Hon. Rasak Ajala.

The Special education programme organised for public schools in the LCDA, is meant to help improve the academic standard of students within the community.

Speaking to journalists at Ilupeju Senior Secondary School yesterday, Odiolowo LCDA boss, Hon. Rasak Ajala said: “We believe that the best anyone can ever give a child is qualitative education hence the emergence of this programme, we strongly believe that investing in these students is for the betterment of our tomorrow as a community, as a people and as a nation.

“The good thing about this Special Education programme is that, it’s for every student in the LCDA, as long as u’re a student of any public school in Ilupeju, Odiolowo or Ojuwoye, you’re qualified to write the exam and subsequently benefit from the scholarship and bursary package once you emerge victorious in the main Nov/December examination.

“All we’re trying to promote is meritocracy as against nepotism and favouritism, we strongly believe that you don’t need to know anyone to anyone before you can benefit from government’, he said.

Continuing, Rasak Ajala said ‘We started with tutorial classes for the students, so we can prepare them adequately for the exams. Let it also be known that we got quality teachers from professional tutorial centres not just some undergraduates or SSCE school leavers to tutor the students’.

On Vocational training, Rasak Ajala said he’s determined to help the local council develop maximally and to achieve this he said there’s going to be the introduction of a poverty alleviation programme for the people of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.
