Friday August 5 2016, Embattled Oil baron, Jide Omokore surfaced on the party circuit.
He was part of guests at the burial ceremony for madam Emife, the 106 yrs old mother of powerful behind the scene player and retired military officer David Jemibewon.
The event was staged at the Iya Gbede, Ijumu Local Council area, Kogi state home town of the Jemibewons. According to sources it was an attraction of who is who from different sectors of the nation’s economy – home and abroad.
The event is said to be the first major outing of troubled Omokore currently undergoing rigorous investigation by anti corruption agency for allegations of massive fraud after days of detention and eventual release. His situation is so ugly that he faces ongoing moves for seizure of his properties within and outside the. Investigation by Society People revealed that Omokore was seen at the event just for him to unwind and socialize irrespective of his numerous allegations.

The burial is described a worthy owanbe affair in celebration of the life and passage of the departed soul.
