Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has dropped his Deputy, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan from his team for the 2023 general elections.
This medium learnt that Makinde has picked the Chairman of the state Housing Corporation, Barrister Bayo Lawal as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.
We gathered reliably that the name of Lawal has been submitted as the running mate to the national headquarters of the party.
Recalled that the duo of Governor Makinde and his Deputy has been at loggerheads since the commencement of the administration. At a time, there were attempts to impeach the Deputy Governor using the state House of Assembly members.
