Lagos most stylish king, Oba Saheed Elegushi will hit the golden age in few days, precisely on 10th of April.
The king is, however opting for a low key celebratiion, as the royal family is still mournimg the death of one of their princes, Wahab Elegushi, who passed on recently after a long battle with illness.
Confirming this development, spokesperson to Oba Elegushi, Temitope Oyefeso, said the celebration of the milestone will hold later in the year but the king, known for his commitment to community development and welfarism, is supporting some public schools with upgraded facilities to mark his birthday.
“We are not having a big celebration at this time, though a planning committee has been meeting over the months, until the unfortunate passing of Prince Wahab”.
“The king has directed his foundation to look at the needs of some public schools within the kingdom and see where we can support them and compliment the efforts of the government”, Oyefeso stated.
He added that brother kings and associates have been reaching out to commiserate with the traditional ruler on the passing of his brother, noting that plans for celebration will be made public when the traditional ruler decides to celebrate the landmark birthday.
