Five former employees of Radio Port Harcourt, now Wave FM, have appeared before the National Industrial Court sitting in Yenagoa, seeking the payment of their outstanding entitlements.

The former employees are praying the court to compel the radio station to pay them salaries ranging from six to eight months, unpaid leave bonuses, unpaid pension allowance and compensation for the hardship they were made to go through.

Counsel to the defendant, South Atlantic Media, operators of Radio Port Harcourt, now Wave FM, Emmanuel Kalu, told journalists after the mention of the case that he would study the claims and make necessary recommendation to his client.

Also, counsel to the claimants, Lezina Amegua, of Coronation Chambers, expressed belief that justice will prevail and the aggrieved former workers would be paid all their entitlements.
