Commissioner, Lawmaker In Fiery Fight For Reps Ticket

Emerging details have it that Ogun state commissioner Tunji Akinosi and Federal lawmaker Jimoh Ojugbele are in still engulfed in a fiery fight for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Ado-Odo/ Ota Federal Constituency.

Ojugbele is the current holder of the ticket as the incumbent Federal House of Representatives in the area.

Akinosi backed by Deputy Governor Noimot Salako – Oyedele is, however, putting up a stiff fight to take the ticket.

The election to determine the candidate of the party for the 2023 election held at Alamuwa Grammar Schoo, Ado on Sunday, May 29, 2022, ended in a stalemate as gunshots and stoning of participants scuttled the process.

The details available to us revealed that gunshots rocked the venue as delegates and supporters of the contestants run helter-skelter.

“Things got so tensed that Akinosi was seen clutching a stick and warding of some persons” We gathered.

More information available has it that though the “election ” was not concluded both contenders are claiming victory.

“They are both strong politicians with heavy backings in the area of the contest and not ready to yield an inch for each other. They are employing everything to prosecute the contest including street muscles” we gathered.
