Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, Group Managing Director of wave making Mutual Benefits Assurance, retires from being the GMD of the insurance firm. Society People gathered reliably that this june 2016 the man who have survived and consistently run the company for the past 20years has resigned as the GMD.
We gathered exclusively that he is presently in a school in far away New York city USA, for a course to advance his career as a professional insurance practitioner, and upon his return sometimes this june he will bid the company good bye as its GMD.
An Economist, Consultant and Insurance Professional, Mr. Ogunbiyi is a graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Ife. He is also an alumnus of the famous International Graduate School of Management, University of Navarra (IESE) Barcelona, Spain where he took an Executive Masters in Business Administration. In addition, he is an alumnus of Lagos Business School.
An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, he did not only complete his Associateship examination in record time, Mr. Ogunbiyi has the rare honour of securing the highest number of distinctions in the professional examination in two sittings.
He had his insurance training in NICON from where he moved to start the Finance and Insurance Experts Limited – a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm, as pioneer Associate Director/Ag.
Chief Executive. Mr. Ogunbiyi serves on the board of many other companies.
