Ahmed Musa’s Homecoming, Good Omen For The NPFL – ANFASSC President

The President of Authentic Nigeria Football And Allied Sports Supporters Club, ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has described as a good omen for the Nigeria Professional Football League, the decision taken by Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa to link up with Kano Pillars.

Musa linked up with Kano Pillars on Tuesday on a short term deal that will see him feature for the former Nigeria Champions till the end of the season.

Reacting to the development, the ANFASSC President said it could be a turn around for the league as it will naturally attract more followers, he added that it will also motivate some top professionals to follow suit whenever they need to get engaged while trying to launch their career again.

He said “I’m delighted, Musa to Kano Pillars means there will be followers of Kano Pillars and the NPFL from Netherlands, Russia, England and Saudi Arabia where Musa has played in the past”.

“Notable Nigerians will as well want to keep tabs on his exploits and that would get the NPFL in bigger maps so it’s a very good one, it will also ginger the home based lads to do well, knowing that the captain of the National team now plays in the league”

Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi noted that Ahmed Musa is a hard-working player who has sacrificed a lot for Nigeria, he added that he’s optimistic about Musa getting another lucrative deal abroad as soon as possible.

It will be Musa’s second spell with Pillars having turned out for the Northerners before moving to Europe, he scored 18 goals in the 2009/2010 Nigeria Premier League season to emerge as the top scorer.
