Again, DSTV in Copyright Infringement Scandal …As Super Egles Star, Ndidi Wilfred, threatens legal action over unauthorised image use

Super Eagles Star, Ndidi Wilfred, has threatened to institute legal action against MultiChoice, the owners of DSTV, over the unauthorized use of his image for publicity purposes.
The Leicester FC of England midfield maestro took to his Twitter page last night to show his dissatisfaction with the move.
He tweeted, “Abeg make una see Corporate Company in Nigeria using my image without my permission for a massive nationwide promotion. DSTV for that matter”

However, this is not the first time the South African company would be accused of such.
Sometime in 2020, the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal ordered Multichoice Nigeria to pay N5.4 billion as damages to the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria for copyright infringement.
Insiders revealed that the Super Eagles star is already talking to his lawyers and would take proper legal action to this effect.
Society Reporters sent a message to the corporate communication manager of Multichoice, Ms. Caroline Oghuma, but has yet to respond until press time.
