Abdullahi Bashir Haske, age 38, is wanted by authorities. He is a billionaire who has been in business for at least a decade. He sits atop a growing, some say vast, conglomerate called AA&R Investment Group, with interests in many lucrative sectors of the economy.
A few years ago, it was reported that he owned about two private jets, which were used not only for private leisure but also for business purposes such as private charter flights.
He is widely connected; it is often said that his network and influence are as natural as water running in a stream. He is also believed to be married to one of the daughters of former Vice President and perennial presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who is now part of the ADC.
Until recently, Abdullahi Bashir Haske preferred to remain incognito, avoiding unnecessary publicity. He is known to keep his business deals and extensive network discreet and clandestine. However, he seems to have recently stepped on some toes, as he has been declared wanted by the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission), which believes he has answers to certain questions.
According to the latest bulletin on the EFCC’s page, he was declared wanted for alleged criminal conspiracy and money laundering. It is important to note that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The EFCC has urged anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts to report immediately to the nearest police station or law agency.
