The police have arrested one of the female gang of hardened criminals who have been threatening Nollywood actress, Matilda Lambert with a Computer-Generated nude pictures.

The suspect, one Adepoju Tola Ife who works as a child care support/matron in a Church in Ajegunle area of Lagos has been arraigned on miscellaneous offences including blackmail, threat to life among others.

According to sources, the suspect is part of a team of blackmail syndicate that contacted the fast rising thespian, Matilda Lambert on whatsapp threatening to publish her nude pictures on all Nigerian blogs or pay them the sum of Two Million Naira (N2m).

Unperturbed, the beautiful actress, with the agreement of her management consulted the police and she was promptly advised to deal and negotiate with the fraudsters with a view to nabbing them.

Gullible as they were, the fraudsters gave a First Bank account number 3117532921 belonging to Adepoju Tola Ife who has now been charged at the Ikeja magistrate court 1 from where she’s been transferred to Kirikiri prison as an awaiting trial suspect.

On interrogation, the lady who’s in her 40s told the police that she’s actually working for her fiance, one Adewusi Adesina, a convicted ex police officer serving a 14 years jail term for recklessly shooting an innocent man.

Adetola Ife confided in the police that, she and her husband ventured into the business with the hope of raising enough money to plan their wedding which is billed to hold immediately her fiance completed his jail term.

Her confessional statement had led the police to Kirikiri Maximum prison to interrogate the trigger happy ex cop, Adewusi Adesina, who’s the real actor behind the blackmail trade. We gathered efforts to join him along with his mistress in the suit are ongoing.

Despite all these disturbing discoveries, the convict, we’re told is still threatening to release the said fake nude pictures to the public, an effrontery police see as a welcome idea that’ll further ease investigation activities.

The police are saying his new threat to release the fake nude pictures will definitely help detectives to further trace and apprehend his retinue of gangs because cyber bullying is a serious crime right now, “it’ll help us make more arrest, this is one case we’ll follow to the letter, we will be interested to know the meeting point between a blogger or anyone at all who receive such nude pictures from a convicted criminal”.

Actor Junior Pope Odonwodo has died.

According to reports, four actors including Junior Pope fell into Anam River in Anambra State, on their way to a movie location and their bodies have been recovered.

The actor had earlier shared a video of himself and others on a boat, on their way to the movie location.

Captioning the video, he wrote: “See me lamenting….The risk we take to entertain you; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…. Na wahooooo Who does that ??”

Some of his colleagues reacted in the comment section of the video shortly after his death was announced.

“Jesus! Oh Lord! Oh Lord,” Tana Adelana wrote.

“I’m so sad. can’t believe this. Big Sam where are you? am shaking,” Yvonne Jegede wrote.

The 39-year-old was married to Jennifer Awele.

They have three children together.

I don’t say much here anymore for a lot of reasons but I’ll say this, this was all preventable deaths if the minimum standards of safety was followed. If we in this business take ourselves a bit more seriously and practice this profession with all the seriousness it deserves. Nobody should go into a boat without a life jacket. Period. No producer should send people into one nor should anybody cast/crew enter anyone. How many deaths are enough?…… Richerd Mofe Damijo….

What a tragedy ! What a shame ! How could these young men take this kind of risk. No life jackets and you can’t swim. Ahhh. This is so,so sad.

May God receive their souls. Amen🙏….. Zik Zulu Okafor
