Armed Robbers Who Terrorize Motorists in Lagos Traffic Nabbed by Police

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad attached to the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested three members of a two separate gang of armed robbers that attack motorists and commuters during gridlocks in Lagos.

The suspects were apprehended around Orile Iganmu and Mile 2 areas of the state following a distress call they got from victims of the robbery attacks while in traffic.

The RRS commander, Olatunji Disu, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, confirmed that the suspects were arrested around 11.00 p.m on July 31 at the National Art Theatre in Iganmu area of the state.

Also a member of a notorious gang that allegedly terrorize residents of Mile 2 has been apprehended by a mobile team of the Rapid Response Squad attached to the State Police Command. The suspect was nabbed while trying to break into a victim’s car on July 28th.

33-year-old Ugochukwu Otuneme, allegedly belong to a member of a robbery syndicate which specialises in snatching vehicles and disposessing residents of their belongings at the Mile 2 area of the state.

Confessing to the act, the suspect said he usually operates alongside other members of his gang who are now at large.
